Automatic Phase-to-Phase Short-Circuit Lockout
When a phase-to-phase short circuit occurs on the user branch line, the boundary switch immediately trips and locks out after the substation breaker/recloser operates.
Other branch users on the feeder rapidly restore power after substation reclosing.
Rapid Fault Localization
If the boundary switch trips due to a user branch fault, the responsible user is isolated and proactively reports fault data.
Utility crews locate faults onsite via PDAs or communication modules.
